Great food, reasonable price

Great local Mexican spot.Frankly having grown up in the Southwest most midwestern Mexican disappoints at best, Villa is not the same.They offer a good selection of well made, quality food and free chips and salsa.I’d certainly recommend giving them a try!

The people that run this place don’t appreciate your business at all. They don’t believe in making their customers happy. 0 stars should be an option. Plus it’s dark and very dirty in there. Never going back to this place.

Best Mexican food around.

The young lady that took care of us was very friendly and pleasant. The food was bland. The beans tasted like they were from a can and the salsa tasted like it was from a jar. The rest of the food was bland. Our nachos were burnt... how do you burn nachos? Was overly priced for the portion sizes.

Always had great food there. Haven't been for a while, though. My friend, who lives in Mentor, goes there for chile rellenos. He said they're the best he's had and he's eaten at many Mexican restaurants around the country.

Best Mexican EVER. Nothing tops this place been coming here since I was born along with my siblings. Now i have my own kids and I take them there.

Unbelievable! Ordered two (2) chili rellenos entres but received only 1 bag of chips. I was told you only get 1 bag per order. I ordered two (2) entres so shouldn’t I get two bags of chips? I can’t believe this place is so unrelenting on their chip policy! In my experience, places that have these types of policies aren’t doing that well financially. Perhaps it’s time to start patronizing a different Mexican option!

VYZ is amazing! The taco dorados are great, Mexican quacamole, cactus salad, enchiladas and chile relleno! You can't go wrong! Harder to eat vegan here, but it can be done.

Food was average but it was during covid times so I will give it another shot

This truly is a great place to eat at. I've never had bad food from here and we have been coming here for over 10 years now. The Tequila Chicken is a favorite of mine. Obviously they serve chips, queso, and salsa here and YES they all taste great. I've never came here and the place is packed so you can take that as a good or bad thing. Sometimes you come and they have no mexican music playing so it's silent inside which is a little strange. Overall a great place.

Seriously, if someone wanted to find me, they'd have pretty dang good odds starting here. Weekly regulars, I've literally been coming here my whole life. Even when I was in college, whenever I'd visit home this was a must stop. The Verde sauce is great, the enchiladas are super awesome and have authentic sauces, honestly I could eat the taquitos every day. My favorite entres are the guisado de peurco, (that yummy verde!!) and the tinga poblana, which is a chipotle pepper seasoned dish with tons of filling ingredients. Easily make 2 meals of it. Don't be turned off by the neighborhood, the place has its own fenced lot. Just look for the Mexican flag building and do yourself a solid the next time you want good Mexican.

Food is awesome. Would go more often if they were in a different neighborhood. 2 out of 3 of the last times I've had something happen to my vehicle was there. Open restraunt locations in lakewood, Westpark, and Fairview areas...

This if a family favorite of restaurants We've been coming here for years. The food is always good, sometimes the service isn't the best because I think only 1 woman works. Cute little restaurant.

It's really cool place,food is okBut guys you should play music on a speakers so that I (customers) wouldn't hear loud chewers 🤦🏼‍♂️It feels like a library so quit and the server was so in touch to bring me the bill....

My 1st experience at Villa y Zapata and I am SO DISAPPOINTED. I love Mexican food but this place was not Mexican. Everything tasted like it was out of a can. It was put into the container (I ordered to-go) like slop. My "sauteed" veggies were still crunchy. I am so so so disappointed. I live right in the neighborhood so I figured I'd give it a try.... Should have stuck with Rincon Criollo. I will NOT be coming back. What a waste of my time.

Great place good people and great food

The chicken tinga is one of our favorite dishes here. Their steak fajitas are also very good and well seasoned--much more flavor than most Mexican restaurants. Their margaritas are our favorite of all of the margaritas we have ever had. They do not use hardly any sour mix, which is great if you get heartburn from typical margaritas. They are strong and have a unique flavor. We wish we could figure out their secret recipe. This has been one of our favorite Mexican restaurants over the past 12 years that we have been eating here.
